Dr. Bilal Jamil is a medical graduate of Nishtar Medical College, Multan. He did his fellowship in Medicine from the College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) and in Nephrology from The Royal Melbourne Hospital, Melbourne, Australia.
Dr. Bilal Jamil has over twenty-five years of experience in Nephrology, currently, he is the Medical Director of Tabba Kidney Institute, Karachi. He is a member of the International Society of Nephrology’s (ISN) sub-committee on Advancing Clinical Trials (ACT), ISN – ACT, and is one of the authors of ISN’s web based ‘Clinical Trial Tool Kit’.
With over two dozen publications to his credit Dr. Bilal has also compiled an Atlas ‘Urine under the Microscope’ based on the phase contrast and polarized light urine microscopy. His work on infections and malignancies in renal transplant recipients, done at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, has been published in Transplantation and Transplantation Proceeding.
Dr. Jamil is a recipient of ISN-Fellowship training Award. Formerly, he has served as member Board of Governors, Kidney Foundation of Pakistan; Treasurer and General Secretary, Pakistan Society of Nephrology (PSN); Associate Editor, Journal of Pakistan Medical Association (JPMA).
