Cardiac Rehabilitation –A new frontier

Program Description:
ICCPR is an association dedicated to promote Cardiac Rehabilitation and preventing cardiovascular diseases. It is not for Profit Corporation. ICCPR is an international member of WHO and certified from American College of Sports and Medicine (ACSM). The goal of ICCPR CRFC program is to enhance capacity of cardiac rehabilitation delivery among health care professionals. For this purpose it offers different training courses depending upon level of education and setting to practice. However ICCPR with the help of experts develop a policy statement on promoting cardiac rehabilitation use in patient (enrolment, adherence and completion). It works on evidence based practice guidelines.
The goal of this program is to augment capacity for CR delivery in different hospital settings. At Tabba Heart Institute we have the only certified program by ICCPR in our region where our competent staff will help you to get knowledge and develop skills for Cardiac Rehabilitation at our state of art set up. This program will help you to develop your capacity to deliver Cardiac Rehabilitation. We will facilitate you to get international certification. Key features of program are:

- Hybrid program especially designed for students outside Karachi.

BONUS: You can get additional 8 ACSM credits hours after completing this course.
This certification requires both physical/online classes and self-directed learning. Once eligibility is confirmed and after admission granted learners will be provided access to the certification curriculum. There are 10 modules, each modules corresponds roughly to the core components of CR outlined in ICCPR consensus statement. Completion of this scheme only certifies foundational knowledge in the field and signifies capacity to practice clinically. However further skills and knowledge is required in field for advance Cardiac Rehabilitation Training. Classes will be hybrid but for clinical practice each student has to complete contact hours in Rehabilitation department at Tabba Heart Institute (THI) based on their convenience. Classes will be conducted on weekends / evening.
Program Detail:
Total duration of program is 3 months:
- Theory Classes: 26 hrs (Weekend Classes).
- Supervise Clinical: 80 hrs at Tabba Heart Institute.
- Class Timing: 4pm-6pm (preferably Friday and Saturday), However some classes can be change subjected to need.
(Theory classes will be hybrid to accommodate students from outside Karachi)
(Supervised clinical of 80 hours can be completed in 3 months from start of classes)
Exam Details
After completing all modules students can opt for certificate by Tabba Heart Institute (THI) at the end of 3 months or can proceed to appear in International exam by ICCPR, in either case passing grade of 70% is needed. After enrollment student will get access to course content separately. If a failing grades is received, learners will have the opportunity to re-appear in the exam. Each exam re-take will be charged separately as per ICCPR fee rules. THI will not charge any extra fee for exam, However if student appears for ICCPR exam through THI, They will get 50% fee discount in examination fee
Course Fee Details:
- Registration Fee Rs. 75,000/- (Last date of Registration is 20th Oct’ 2023)
- For early Birds registration fee Rs.60,000/- (before dated: 15th Oct’ 2023)
- Fee includes theory classes, supervised training and exam by THI
- Commencement of classes will be form Mid of October’ 2023
- Separated examination fee will be paid for ICCPR exam.
