The Division of Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology at THI is in charge of regulating the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Units as well.
Cardiovascular and Thoracic Diseases Training and Research
The department of cardiothoracic anesthesiology aims towards enhancing the care of the cardiothoracic patients through training and research as it is the center of education and is eventually in the process of affiliation with the College of Physician and Surgeon Pakistan. Colleagues and residents effectively take interest in consideration of patients experiencing cardiothoracic strategies. We also encourage Faculty, fellows, and residents to take an active part in cardiovascular and thoracic diseases research at both the clinical and basic science levels.
Highly Skilled Group of Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology
The Anesthesiology group successfully provides anesthesia for nearly 1600 cardiothoracic surgeries each year at THI, with the assistance of highly skilled members that offer services in intensive care units, and interventional cardiovascular laboratories.The faculty of cardiothoracic anesthesia comprises of three consultants, a team of medical officers with highly skilled members of Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology Trained Fellowship and TransesophagealEchocardiographyAdvanced Trained group.
